It is said that Mt. Monadnock is the second most hiked mountain in the world following Mt. Fuji. Mt. Monadnock stands at 3,165-ft. and was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1987. There are miles of maintained foot trails, 40 in all and the views at the top of the bare rock summit are breathtaking. 100 miles of unobstructed views of the six New England States. Monadnock State Park is a carry in/carry out park site with no facilities available on the mountain. There are no pets allowed within the park or on the mountain. The park is open year-round.
